Professional Freelance Instruction for Existing Outdoor Pursuits Providers

Peak Instruction subscribes to the fair treatment of freelance staff Terms & Conditions set out below and encourage any other freelance instructor to do the same.

Freelance Instruction—Terms and Conditions.

Payment:

Please ensure full payment is received within 30 days of date on the invoice. Re-issue of invoices and late payment may be charged for. Late payment will incur interest at the standard rate of £20 per week or part week overdue.

Booking:

Work is agreed to by means of a written contract, an E-mail is acceptable. Please state the time and location of work, the rate of pay, the type of group and work, start and finish time for the day, including any clean up and debrief.

Transport:

If working within the Peak District or its locale and my vehicle is required during the day, this must be stated in the contract. The vehicle transport cost will be at a rate of £0.40 per mile and will be charged on every mile during contracted working time. This does not include my personal travel to and from work, the base or initial working location. Vehicle costs to working areas outside the Peak or its locale are by negotiation. Other arrangements are by negotiation before booking only.

Cancellation:

Cancellation within 7 working days will be invoiced for at the full rate contracted.

Cancellation within 7 to 14 days will be invoiced at 50%

Tax and N.I.:

No tax or national insurance is to be stopped at source, it is my responsibility to pay this.

Payment or an agreement/contract to work or response to an email containing these terms will be taken to be acceptance of these terms on your behalf..

Changes to these terms of contract are by negotiation only & are only excepted in writing.

As self employed instructors we are available for hire as freelance staffing for existing outdoor providers in any area of the United Kingdom. Be assured that our professional attitude to work and high standards of delivery come as standard whether working for your company or ours. We have experience of working in most areas of the U.K. and are particularly well connected within the Peak District.

Availability varies throughout the year but we are always happy to accept bookings well in advance or last minute should we be available

We pay our own Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions. We will accept payment by invoice or on the day.
